Rachida Dati was born on 27 November 1965 to a Moroccan father M’Barek Dati and an Algerian mother Fatima-Zohra in Saint-Rémy, France. Her father was a bricklayer who was born in 1934 and passed away in 2017. Her mother passed away in 2001. She had 10 siblings and she is the 2nd child of her parents’ 11 children including Malika.
She grew up in Chalon-sur-Saone in a devout Islamic environment but she attended Catholic schools. Rachida completed her master’s degree in Economics from the University of Burgundy in Dijon and her law degree from the Pantheon-Assas University in Paris.
Dati is 58 years old and holds the citizenship of two countries France and Morocco. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. Her religion is still unclear.

Rachida Dati married a man in November 1992. She was married to that man under family pressure and she also described her marriage as a forced marriage. In December 1992, she requested the annulment to declare her marriage null and void which was pronounced in 1995.
The turning point came into her life when she announced in September 2008 that she was pregnant with her first child and would be a single mother. She announced the news of the pregnancy to a group of reporters who questioned her about mounting rumors. She was quoted as saying,

Again big news hit the internet when she took legal action against Dominique Desseigne in 2012 to establish the paternity of her daughter. Dominique is the chief executive of Groupe Lucien Barriere and a casino market leader in France, Switzerland, and Europe.
A French Court ordered Dominique in December 2012 to undergo a paternity test to see if he was the father of Rachida’s daughter but he refused to undergo the test. On 7 January 2024, The court ruled that Dominique was indeed the father.

Rachida revealed as a Guest on the show Hors Piste in September 2021 that her daughter suffered harassment at the school. Rachida said about her daughter Zohra,
“She lived her entire primary school education in changing establishments every year. The little girl was even harassed by the son of a famous person, It ended at the Necker hospital.”

Rachida Dati Work Experience
Rachida Dati is a French politicain. She was appointed as Minister of Culture by Gabriel Attal on 11 January 2024. She served as a member of the European Parliament from July 2009 to 1 July 2019.
Rachida was appointed as the justice minister by PM Francois Fillon on 18 May 2007 and she served until 23 June 2009. Dati has been serving as the mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris since 29 March 2008. She has been a Paris Councillor since 21 March 2008.
