“I’m aware that other female prisoners who have been convicted of high-profile crimes are just on normal location and being dealt with as any other prisoner would be.
“For example, if you take Rose West, she’s not locked up and isolated and segregated 24/7. She’s integrated into the community.
“The same as Joanne Dennehy, she’s integrated with the residential unit, where she mixes freely with other prisoners, takes exercises, and attends work with them.
“I think the Silence of the Lambs thing people believe is commonplace, but it’s really not. When we speak about [serial killer] Robert Maudsley where he’s locked up all day, and he’s isolated and so on and so on, yes, but that’s the only prisoner I’m aware of.”
