Alisyn Camerota left her position as co-anchor of CNN New Day with Laura Coates and Jake Tapper.
She is one of the World’s Leading American Political Analysts also Broadcast Journalists.
She was Chosen as Interim host for the 10 p.m. January 2023. She won’t be leaving CNN Entirely, but Camerota has been named a regular host for CNN Tonight.
Career
Camerota covered the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels, and the Parkland school shooting in Houston.
She interviewed surviving Parkland students and representatives of the National Rifle Association in the hours following the shooting. Camerota has held dozens of panels with Donald Trump supporters and is a frequent critic of Trump. Camerota has also covered the Me Too movement.
In addition to her role anchoring New Day, Camerota anchored several primetime specials including Tipping Point: Physical Harassment in America and The Hunting Ground: Physical Assault on Campus.
Before joining CNN, Camerota worked at Fox News for several years, most notably as part of the Fox & Friends franchise and as co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend.
