Paul Whelan, also known as Paul Nicholas Whelan, is a former United States Marine Corps (USMC), with U.S., Irish, British, and Canadian citizenship.

Whelan was arrested in Russia on 28 December 2018 of being accused of spying. On 15 June 2020, Paul received a 16-year prison sentence.
