Bhumi Pednekar Career
Bhumi Pednekar made her acting introduction with Sharat Katariya’s lighthearted comedy Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015). Featuring inverse Ayushmann Khurrana, she included Sandhya, an overweight lady who weds Khurrana’s character.
In anticipation of the job, Pednekar increased to nearly 12 kg, regardless of being somewhat overweight before shooting. Rajeev Masand explored, “Pednekar takes the film with a guaranteed turn, easily making you care for Sandhya, while never lessening her to a drooling, self-indulging caricature.” After recording, she started shedding pounds and shared techniques and tips for the cycle through her social media.Â
She lost a huge load before the arrival of the film. The film ended up being a sleeper hit, and Pednekar won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
